I make fast-paced, upbeat theatre, normally with a focus on original music. I like to make shows that are funny, use heightened physicality and are overtly theatrical in their nature. You can check out my CV here if you want.

I'm influenced by rock'n'roll, comic books and writers who create amazing imaginary worlds.

My favourite book is Slaughterhouse 5 and I will always chase the dream to make something even half as good.

I enjoy making shows for all sorts of audiences; big children, wee children, big adults, wee adults and anything in between.

I usually write, direct and compose my own shows but that really is project dependent.

My work has been described as:

"A comedy caper that never flags or runs out of witty lines." 5 ***** (The Herald on Spuds)

"A little piece of theatrical dynamite ." (The Herald on The Rise & Inevitable Fall of Lucas Petit)

"Ingenious, great entertainment." (TV Bomb on Love 2.0)

"Displays talent and passion in it's clever pastiche songs." (The Scotsman on Vinyl Idol)

"Andy McGregor's joyous little tale is perfect." 5 ***** (The Stage on Flora's Fairy Challenge)

"Youthful and fizzing with hormones this energetic two-hander

benefits from excellent writing by Andy McGregor." (The List on Love 2.0)

"It's nice to have some quality home grown shows." 5 ***** (One4review on Towards the Moon)

"45 exuberant minutes." 5 ***** (The Herald on Eric the Elf's Chaotic Christmas)

"A corking family show." 5 ***** (The Herald on Naughty Cat & the Cheesy Moon)

I've worked with The National Theatre of Scotland, The Royal Court, The Citizens Theatre, The Lyceum, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Vox Motus and my own company Sleeping Warrior amongst others. I was awarded the Playwrights Studio Scotland 'New Playwrights Award' in 2015 and have been nominated for 3 Musical Theatre Matters awards.
